Belarusian Translation Services
Belarusian is the Balto-Slavic language spoken by the people of Belarus and by neighbouring regions within Poland, Russia, and the Ukraine; it is spoken by some 7 million people worldwide.
Belarusian has been heavily influenced by its two biggest neighbours Poland and Russia and contains three distinct dialects; the North western, the South Eastern and the West Palyesian dialect group. These dialects are all concentrated within discrete geographical corridors, with the last of these being very close to the Ukrainian language.
Belarusian is written in an alphabet based upon the Cyrillic script; its final modern form having been determined in 1918. Before this date it was periodically written in the Galgoltic script; a script specifically constructed to render religious texts into Slavic languages.
Translation into and from the languages of younger countries, such as Belarus, is becoming increasingly important, as these nations become increasingly attractive and important markets.
